Dedicated to the Hamilton Children’s Choir, this piece for SSA choir is accompanied by vibraphone and marimba. Each of the percussion parts is simple enough to be performed by a young percussionist. The work portrays the emptiness felt at watching a loved one’s ship disappear from view, leaving only the empty sea. Very moving.
