Ave Verum Corpus is another example of Jeff Smallman's contemplative and atmospheric sacred music. It is similar in style to his Sanctus (released in 2013), and uses advanced harmonies but always in a tonal setting. Very respectful in its treatment of the text, this is a very moving and satisfying work.
